The main tools I work with when knitting a hood:
No. 5.5, No. 4.5, No. 4, and No. 3 needles
No. 3 needles missing? Use No. 3.5.
Only have No. 4 needles? That’s all you need for this hood.
If you knit tightly, go for No. 5 needles.
