This pattern is suitable for beginners if you are familiar with basic knitting skills.
For this voluminous merino hood, you will need 8 skeins of Lana Gatto Super Soft.
Tools I use:
Needles: sizes 6, 5.5, 5, 4.5, 3.5
If you don't have all these needle sizes, I recommend having just size 5 with a 60 cm cord and size 3.5 with a 30-40 cm cord.
Crochet hooks: sizes 3, 4, 4.5
I use different cord lengths: 40 cm and 60 cm
A few stitch markers
Plastic needle
Scissors
Large safety pin
Measuring tape
If you are new to knitting with needles, or a complete beginner, I advise you not to knit the hood in black—it will be very difficult for you. You can't see anything with black yarn, and you'll struggle a lot!
My gauge on size 5 needles is 15 stitches over 22 rows.
Finished Hood Dimensions: 42 cm by 32 cm
